The Elder Abuse Prevention and Awareness program services to elders 60 years of age and older were added 5+ years ago. 55+ Volunteer Program of Boone and Greene Counties
RSVP offers adult volunteers age 55+ quality opportunities to share their skills, interests, and experiences in response to a variety of community needs. Serving both Boone and Greene County RSVP recruits and places volunteers with non-profit, education, health proprietors, and governmental agencies/entities. For these organizations, RSVP staff process volunteer request, promote volunteer needs, recruit and refer volunteers, and follow up on volunteer placements. RSVP may also collaborate to provide volunteer management support in addressing identified priority community needs. Volunteers cannot replace paid staff, but instead provide valuable support that enhances or supplements the services of an organization. In addition to volunteer infrastructure to partnering organizations we administer three programs, Adult Caregiver Respite (for fulltime caregivers), In- Home Visitation, and Greene Co. GAP (Grocery Assistance-shopping Program). See website for more program details
