BOONE HOPE FOUNDATION
The Boone Hope Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit tax-exempt organization that provides one-time assistance to students and their families in time of need or emergency. The Boone Hope Foundation services the students of Boone Community, Sacred Heart, and Trinity Lutheran Schools.

IMPACT Community Action Partnership
IMPACT provides basic needs assistance to low-income individuals and families residing in Boone, Jasper, Marion, Polk, and Warren Counties. Program availability and guidelines vary by service. To access these services, families needing assistance should call 515-518-4770 as all services are currently being provided by phone. Further information can be found on our website at impactcap.org.
Energy Assistance - Programs are available to qualifying low-income residents within IMPACT's service territory. It's our largest program and provides a one-time payment to the energy account as well as protection from disconnection during the winter months.
Food Assistance - Our food pantries are located in Boone, Des Moines, and Ankeny and can be accessed by anyone in IMPACT's service territory. Families can utilize the pantry once per month. Between food orders, families can visit the Anytime Shelves located outside of the Boone, Des Moines, and Ankeny IMPACT offices. Families in Polk County also now have the ability to request free contactless food pantry delivery to their homes.
Housing Assistance- IMPACT administers several rent and mortgage programs depending on eligibility criteria. Residents of Boone, Jasper, Marion, and Warren County may apply for additional housing assistance through the IMPACT Homelessness Prevention Program.
Disaster Assistance - Individuals impacted by natural disasters may be eligible for financial assistance to replace or repair damaged property. Case management is available for individuals requiring resource navigation for outstanding needs.
Local Assistance - Some IMPACT programs are specific to the local needs of each community.

Salvation Army
Provides financial assistance for evictions and utility shut offs, food pantry, payee program, emergency disaster services. Referrals to other agencies and services, along with pastoral care for the community.

VFW Post 817 & Auxiliary
​We set out to serve the veterans of this country and our communities as a testament to the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform. Our Relief Funds are available to help Boone County Veterans and families in times of need on a hand-up basis.
